My condolences to the family.
Mr. Roettinger was my 8th grade teacher many years ago in 1967-68. He was a great mentor and encouraged me in my quest to become a doctor. After I went away to college, I would visit with him whenever I came back to Asbury Park. I have thought of him often, and am sad to hear of his passing. Indeed, a life well lived in service to students!

Roe, you were so good to me during my teaching years at the Middle School. THANK YOU for being a helpful colleague and a true gentleman. Your genuine love for the students will never be matched by anyone else. Thanking GOD that HE allowed you to walk amongst us for 83 years!!! My heart is heavy 😥

Mr. Roettinger had on my life. As a student at APMS he was often
a father figure, mentor, friend, and confidant. His generous nature and ability to help others will be fondly remembered.
