He truly inspired me and exemplifies what an educator really was. Had it not been for him I don't know where my life would be. Rest in peace your job on earth was well done. You have affected many generations of children. I will miss you and NEVER forget you. Xoxoxo

My condolences to the family.
Mr. Roettinger was my 8th grade teacher many years ago in 1967-68. He was a great mentor and encouraged me in my quest to become a doctor. After I went away to college, I would visit with him whenever I came back to Asbury Park. I have thought of him often, and am sad to hear of his passing. Indeed, a life well lived in service to students!

Condolences and Prayers to the family.
Words can't describe what a positive impact and Blessing
Mr. Roettinger had on my life. As a student at APMS he was often
a father figure, mentor, friend, and confidant. His generous nature and ability to help others will be fondly remembered.
Rest in Paradise Mr. R!
