Francis C Thomas

Francis C. Thomas, of Colonia died Thursday, May 26th at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital @ Rahway. He was born in Elizabeth and resided in Colonia since 1958.

                Frank proudly served our country in the Army Air Corp, from 1943 to 1946 during WWII.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post #248, Colonia.  Francis retired from Exxon in Linden October 1982 after 36 years of service.

                He was predeceased by his son, Brian F. Thomas in 1993; and his parents, Anna Mooney Thomas and Calvin Thomas. Surviving are his wife, Stella (nee: Midura) whom he married in 1948 at St. Adalbert’s Church in Elizabeth; children, Warren F. Thomas of New York City, Karen Thomas Gross and her husband Jack of Half Moon Bay, CA; and grandsons, John Thomas Gross of Half Moon Bay, CA and Matthew D. Thomas of New Orleans, LA.

                Visitation will be Saturday May 28, 2016 from   8:30 am to 9:30 am followed by a 10 am funeral mass at St John Vianney RC Church Colonia. Interment St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
