Florence C. (Rubino) Willenbrock
July 13, 1927 ~ March 22, 2015 (age 87) 87 Years Old
Florence C. Willenbrock, of Avenel died Sunday, March 23rd at the JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 87.
Born in Highland Park, she lived in Edison before moving to Avenel in 2006.
She worked as a Receiving Clerk at Bamberger’s/Macy’s in Menlo Park Mall for over 40 years before retiring in 2014.
Flo was a parishioner of St. Andrew’s RC Church in Avenel and worked as a volunteer at the church’s weekly bingo. She was also a member of the Metuchen Senior Citizens and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, Bingo and going to the movie theater. Flo also enjoyed spending her summers at her home in Sea Isle City.
She was predeceased by her husband, Allen; and brother, George Rubino.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Mark & Maureen of Avenel, and Scott & Aida of Champagne, Illinois; sisters, Mary Heldrich of Highland Park and Frances Casserly of Helmetta; and 4 grandchildren, Allen, David, Farah and Amala.
Cremation services have been held privately.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28th from 11 AM to 1 PM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison.
