David Caruso, 91, passed away on Friday 12/15/2017 .at the Veterans Home in Edison where he had resided since March of 2015. David was born in Newark, New Jersey on March 19, 1926 moving to Iselin 

He leaves behind his wife of 56 years Francesca (Lomonte) Caruso, daughters Carla (Caruso) Kile and Dawn Caruso, son in law Robert Kile, two grandchildren, Tara-Lyn and Danielle Farrell, grandson, Pappino Caruso, sister Eunice Mariano, Nephews Davey Hannon and his wife Kathy, Marc Mariano and his wife Jennifer, Niece Beth Weinblatt and her husband Todd, and great nephews, David Hannon, Shawn Hannon, Mathew Mariano, Christopher Mariano, Zachary Weinblatt, great nieces Amanda Hannon, Emily Weinblatt, and very close family friend Lena Weidele.

David was predeceased by his Father Rocco Caruso, Mother Betsy Caruso, Sister Rachael Hannon and brother in law, William Hannon.  

David Caruso served his country by enlisting in the Navy serving in both World War II and the Korean War. David worked a total of 40 years as a truck driver until he retired in 1993.  After retirement he took care of his grandchildren. David was loved by all and will be missed terribly.

Services will be held Monday 12/18/2017 at Gosselin Funeral home, 660 New Dover Road in Edison from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral Services Tuesday from 10:00AM to 1100AM at the funeral home followed by interment at Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery on Tuesday.

A special thanks to Ken Miller and George Santino and others who reside at the Veterans home, for welcoming Dave and making his transition a little bit easier. As well as to the staff for their services. A special thanks to Beverly and Evelyn whom Dave had a special place in his heart for.
