Charles Stankiewicz

Charles Stankiewicz, of Colonia died Sunday, August 23rd at the RWJ at Rahway Hospital.  He was 55.

Born in Newark, he lived in Maplewood and Iselin before moving to Colonia.

Charlie worked as a self-employed contractor based out of Colonia for many years.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends and family.

He is predeceased by his father, Raymond Stankiewicz.

Surviving are his son, Charles Stankiewicz of Colonia; daughter, Samantha Stankiewicz of Lynn, Massachusetts; former spouse and friend, Debra Madigan of Lynn, Massachusetts; mother, Anne Stankiewicz of Colonia; brothers, Raymond V. Stankiewicz and his wife Maribeth of North Brunswick and Joseph Stankiewicz and his wife Kathy of Metuchen; sisters, Lenora Funk and her husband Richard of Edison and Joan Rizal and her husband Sam of Chester; granddaughter, Samantha; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 27th at 8:30 AM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, followed by a 9:30 AM Mass at St. John Vianney RC Church, Colonia.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
