He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds. He counts the number of stars; he calls them all by name. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite. The lord lifts up the humble; He casts the wicked down to the ground...Psalm 147:6
Carl Bootan, age 69, passed away Saturday January 27th, 2018 in Haven Hospice; a caring and loving hospice community at JFK Hospital in Edison New Jersey.
From June 1st 1948 until his death he cherished one thing more than anything; family. Surrounded by all those he loved he passed away peacefully in his sleep. He came from Trinidad in 1970 to make a better life for his wife Doreen and to raise a family. Carl and his wife raised four children; Ryan Bootan, Randi Ramirez, Raina Bootan and Ross Bootan. He started his life in Manhattan; then Elmwood Park; moved a few years later to Edison, and North Brunswick until finally settling down in East Brunswick.
During the good times and bad, Carl’s primary focus was to make sure his family was taken care of. Whether it was a deserved family vacation or being there for a friendly word, Carl was there for you.

His grandchildren Xavier, Zachariah, Alexander and Timothy, two sisters Nadia and Shanti and nephews Neil, Emile, Sameer and nieces Siddiqua, Sabiha. He will be remembered for his generous heart and love and for teaching us all how to be loyal and true. We will miss him dearly.
