Beverly E Venner

Beverly E. Venner, of Colonia died Sunday, May 7th at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.  She was 87. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and raised in Staten Island and New York City, she has lived in Colonia since 1955, living in the same house for over 60 years.

She worked as a Secretary for Ferrara Associates in Clark and Instruments S.A. in Metuchen. Bev was active with the beginning of the Colonia Little Fellows League.  She also served as a Den Mother with the Cub Scouts and a Youth Counselor for the First Presbyterian Church in Rahway.  She enjoyed bowling, going to the Poconos, antiquing, blowing bubbles with her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Venner, Sr. in 2007.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, David & Kathy Hasse of Peachtree City, Georgia and Paul & Lydia Hasse of Colonia; daughter, Kari Hasse of Hackettstown; and 4 grandchildren, Bryan, Daniel and Jacob Hasse and Emily Porter.

 Inurnment 11 am Thursday May 11, 2017 at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.
